Documents
Your passport must have a validity of at least 6 months from the date of departure.

Visas and taxes
Taxes include one for the entry visa of 50 USD (including the entry tax), granted upon arrival in the airport.

Health advice
For ocean sojourns no vaccination is required. However it is advisable to take preventive medicine for malaria. One should also bring sunblock, intestinal disinfectants and mosquito repellant.
Important: Except for the regions affected by epidemics, traveling in Africa is not considered at risk.
Zanzibar is an island thousands of miles away from the areas concerned, and it is separated from the sea.

Time zone
During standard time it is 2 hours ahead of Italian time while in winter during daylight saving time it is 1 hour ahead.

Currency
The official currency is the Tanzanian Shilling (TSH). Credit cards VISA and MasterCard are accepted in the Resort (commission payment 6%). For local purchases it is advisable to bring American dollars.

The official language is Swahili.
